About B. Steffens

B. Steffens began her writing journey many eons ago. With a knack for creative writing and rhymes, slam poetry became a passion that fueled her desire to write while studying and getting her legs beneath her. She performed at many local venues and events before her career took a turn for the military.

She joined the United States Air Force in 2012 where her love for language was fostered, though her ability to read and write came to a screeching halt. Several years of study, an end to her military career and many dead end jobs later, B. Steffens found herself in the creative sphere once again, working for a small web, design and marketing agency. With her feathers fluffed and a new job that closer aligned with her interests, B. Steffens dove head first back into the world of reading after picking up the book; Fighting Destiny by Amelia Hutchins.

To Amelia she owes her deepest gratitude. Not only did her books lead B. Steffens back to a life and love of reading, but she inspired the slam poetry teenager within B. Steffens and put fire to spark, igniting a blazing inferno of romantasy writing that called to B. Steffens unlike any before.

B. Steffens resides in Northern Nevada with her incredible husband, two amazing children and their many pets. Writing in her down time and spending her days working and attending swim meets, B. Steffens has a love for cuisine and is an avid traveller.
